Participant added an item to the 'main menu' - which showed up in primary links. Then put the main menu block in the left sidebar. Now had two main menus in two different places.
After enabling search modules, users are not aware of the new search box that is added to Garland. They instead visit admin/build/block and enable the search box through a block.
