Users want to know where content lives while adding

criticality:
Moderate
Drupal7:
Open
This happened to:

User expected to know where content would show up while adding it - i.e., didn't want to add something and sort out navigation to it later. This was an expectation from other CMSes - i.e. browse to a folder and add content to it.

Be able to create lists of content

Drupal7:
Open
This happened to:

User wanted and expected to be able to list content in some way, e.g. a list of all articles.

Implications:

This is really something that would be covered by views in core or simpleviews. Users expect to be able to logically group and list content on their sites.

No easy way to link to a node from menu module

criticality:
Critical
Drupal7:
Open
This happened to:

Users went to admin/build/menu to add links to nodes - but are presented with a path field.

They wanted to be presented with a list of content on the site so they could create menu items pointing to them.

The only way to add a menu link is to go back to the content, copy the URL from the address bar, go back to admin/build/menu and paste it in.

Implications:

Would need to have lists of users, nodes, views etc. - can't have just one list.

Solution:
Show path for the item on node/n/edit? Select widget in add menu item form for choosing nodes.
