If you edit some content, save it, then use the back button to edit it again, you get this message - even though you're the same person.

Solution:
Re-word it to explain exactly what's going on.

Page is used as a general term, and for node type

Page is used as a general term for things you put stuff into, and also as a node type. Some users think creating a page is creating something you can then put other content into.

Solution:
We should use it for only one of these meanings, not both.

Warning Messages Make User Think Page Didn't Save

The update status message takes visual precedence over the success message, making the user think the page wasn't saved or had an error.

Solution:
Since the update status doesn't really apply to this page (it wouldn't display anything on this page if it were working).

People assume path == "external URL"

Multiple people assumed the path field was looking for a full URL to their content. Lots of people used the full http://site.com/node/x link to add a menu item.

Solution:
Improve the provided help text. Also auto-detect if a user enters a full URL to their site. In the event that they have entered a full URL and it matches a internal Drupal path, we should be cleaning the user supplied information to use the internal Drupal path.

Clean URLs description made user assume pathauto-like functionality.

criticality:
Minor
Drupal7:

Task:

Because of the description of clean URLs the participant assumed there would be pathauto like functionality. This caused them some issues with the path field when trying to create a menu item link.

Additionally the description didn't really tell users what clean URLs are. Most users expressed confusion over what it meant, but stuck with the default anyway.

Solution:
Who wouldn't want clean URLs? if available, we should just enable and hide the option on install. If not available, let them know their server doesn't support the feature currently, along with some compelling reasons to have a server that does.

The navigation menu description is poor.

The description of the navigation menu item is very bad. Typically users assume it's only for administrators and skip right over the word "often" which lets them know it is possible to put non-administrative items in this menu. We need to re-work the description.

Filtered HTML contains a big amount of information about the filter, where as full HTML is very not-descriptive that you can use all tags.

Solution:
Say that you can use all HTML Tags List all tags
